Why Social Care Support Parent Hub was created
At Social Care Support (SCS) Parent Hub, we understand the unique challenges parents face when navigating Children's Social Care. Discover our commitment to providing clear, compassionate, and independent guidance.

Bridging the gap in parent support
We created SCS Parent Hub after recognising a clear gap in structured, independent support for parents involved with Children’s Social Care. While strong advocacy exists for children, there is very little informed, practical guidance available directly to parents.
Many parents feel overwhelmed, unsure what to share, or fearful of the consequences of saying the wrong thing. Social pressures such as poverty, disability, trauma or isolation can further affect confidence and engagement.
Our role is to provide a calm, informed space where parents can understand expectations, prepare for meetings and participate constructively, always keeping the child’s welfare central.
Our support is inclusive of mothers, fathers and extended family members who wish to engage positively in plans affecting their child.
A key aim of this service is to support families to make sustained progress so that, where it is safe to do so, plans can step down and the need for

Expert guidance from qualified professionals
Support is delivered by qualified social work professionals with extensive experience across frontline practice, senior management, independent reviewing and service level quality assurance within Children’s Social Care.
This also includes long term child protection teams, court work, safeguarding oversight and inspection readiness. We understand thresholds, professional expectations and the factors that lead to delay or drift in cases.

Clearer paths, confident engagement
Our aim is to help parents feel clearer, more confident and better able to participate effectively in decisions about their child.
We help you understand what is happening, what professionals are looking for, and how to demonstrate progress in a way that is recognised by the system.
Sessions are calm, structured, and practical. We prepare for meetings, discuss plans, break down necessary changes, and identify realistic next steps.
Our approach is respectful and honest, focused on reducing confusion, improving communication, and helping families move forward. The aim is always constructive engagement, reduced drift, and a clear path for the family, with your child’s welfare central at all times.
